After a really long haul on the bus, I made it to Bilbao. All the rooms were full in town because of a lame football game, so I ended up out in a village, spending alot more money.  But, of course, every cloud has a silver lining, it was awesome being out in the country.  I took a super long walk on easter morning (couldnīt find a chocolate bunny anywhere!).  It was a small Basque village called El Regato, lots of Basques flags flying in peopleīs windows. I walked out to a totally new, revitalized town called Barkaldo.  What a feat of city planning, parks, buildings...the place was huge...can anyone help me figure out who designed that place?Changed hotels the next day and stayed in the old part of town, narrow streets and tall balconied windows.  As soon as I could I headed down the river to see the Guggenheim museum designed by Frank Gehry.  What a beautiful building!  I could not take my eyes off of it and got a view from every angle I could.  Inside and out that place is a work of art. Went back the next morning to look at it again in different light.
Speaking of light, there is some unfortunate hair happening here in Spāin.  For men it is the mullet, for young ones with the addition of pirate earrings.  For women, it is the crazy magenta/maroon hair dye, you know what I am talking about.  Some women have the mullet and the color, really not a good idea...
