Flag of Costa Rica  , Province of Guanacaste,

One thing you will notice if you decide to try Costa Rica and visit different province is the change in scenery, temperature. We started our Drive to the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. once again...the dusty dirt road went on for awhile...but eventually paved roads started to make them selves available. If you do plan on Driving..... Stick to major roads. Signs are far and few in between. Get some kind of gps mapping on your phone. My friend had this and it really helped!

Having had trouble getting a place to stay... Hotel Brasilito was all that was available. I really really wanted to stay at Las Tortugas which is in Playa Grande on The Beach but they did not respond in time and settled with Brasilito which is Near Playa Flamingo.

Honestly, having your own car is a good thing as you can really move around. Brasilito had several bars near the beach which was a plus. The hotel restaurant was pretty expensive but there was a little food place next door that was very very affordable and what I patronised. If you get a room at this hotel...get the AC! It was soo hott.

The Playas are all pretty close by, so you can drive to these beaches. Tamarindo is a pretty popular beach and very Touristy! If you like being around a lot of Tourist...then do stay in Tamarindo. It however has lots of little shops for eating, and all walking distance to the Beach.

We did a Mangrove Tour while in Tamarindo and had the opportunity to get out and see some Howler Monkeys and some crocs. This was actually a very nice little tour as it was cool and I enjoyed being on the Water. The tour guide name was also Victor Hugo! How cool is that!

Now, I am really not a bathing in the beach person .... so beaches really don't bother me. The scenery is beautiful however and I am happy with this. So yes..I did not do any sea bathing whatsoever nor do I feel like I missed out on it! I live on a Island.... missing out on the sea wont' happen.

On, Sunday... my friend wanted to do diving so we drove to Playa Coco where the arrangments was done for this.

After that, we decided to start our journey to Manuel Antonio!
