So....Iv'e lived in Trinidad & Tobago for say the past 27 years. And I absolutely love it here. Its been rather interesting reading the comments and experiences of travellers to these islands as...it really isn't very popular. Tobago perhaps...but Trinidad never really falls under the beautiful caribbean image of white sand, blue seas...etc.

What i've decided to do is ... look at my island through the eyes of an outsider rather than someone living here. And in that aspect...be able to appreciate what I am blessed with more. And so...my journey has begun...and I have visited creeks, crevices and corners of the boxed island. Discovering new things and going...damn...didn't know that this existed!!

Firstly, how about actually observing the drive and scenery from my humble village to a more populated town. Imagine yourself driving through a cave of forest...where the trees touch each other overhead and sunlight looks like splotches of diamonds through the dense trees. The air is something different...clean and sweet..and cool. And you drive along several miles of this where the occasional animals will run across the road, or the monkeys swinging on the trees or even a stuffed snake coiled up in a branch...digesting its meal. Id say...this is rather relaxing and therapeutical. Ofcourse...this is the view of one who loves nature.
