Saturday. Today we explored "'up town Manhatten" on a bus tour. What a beautiful day, so warm. We then took a stroll through Central Park & visited the John Lennon memorial. The park is so impressive. There were so many people sun baking, cycling, skating, running & rowing in the lake. We covered quite a bit of the park, most of the time, listening to music from a talented busker. We then ventured over to the Natural History museum & took some photos of the famous Teddy Roosevelt statue, a highlight for us as "Night at the Museum" is one of our (& Lachlan's) favourite movies. I wish we had time to go inside but given that it was our last day, we ventured back into Times Square & visited "Toys r Us". This has 4 levels, including a huge ferris wheel & a massive dinosaur that roars. Quite a few super heroes, including Spiderman were wandering around as well. We then met up with Damien's dad's cousin for an early light dinner at another Italian restaurant. We appreciated the time we had with him, It was great to spend some time with a New Yorker. After this we walked to "Grand Central Station," what a beautiful building. Saturday night in Times Square is crazy. My feet were giving up on me so we headed towards home & shared another Italian meal at a quaint little french restaurant near the hotel & called it a night.
