Where I stayed
The james hotel
Our first full day in Chicago. We spent the morning discovering the famous "magnificent mile" which is just 1 block from our hotel. I found the shops were great & bought a couple of things. I was absolutely amazed about the service I received in "Victoria Secret". We then joined "Chicago's finest river walk tour". This 2.5 hr tour told us a lot about history & architecture. We then joined a river & lake architectural tour on a speed boat through "sea dog", this was great. We had dinner at the hotel as the restaurant is highly regarded & was recommended to us before we arrived. We both had steak, a dish that Chicago is famous for. It was very up market & expensive but it was absolutely beautiful & the service was exceptional.
