Well we did think we were on holiday until we got up at 6.30am to get an early start at Universal Islands of Adventure to beat the crowds.  So bleary eyed we grabbed a quick breakfast, got the boat and arrived at the theme park about 7.40am - yes 7.40am.  Unbelievably we were not on our own and we followed the line of people who were all doing the same as us just to get to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  Even though it seemed we were mad it was well worth it - the ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was fantastic.  Alison was a bit sceptical and Emma gave it a go.  Emma afterwards was not keen to do it again as the Dementors and Dragons were a bit scary.   You explore the classrooms and corridors of Hogwarts™. Then soar above the
castle grounds on a ride that lets you join Harry Potter and his friends - flying over Hagrids cottage, the quidditch pitch, missing the womping willow and defeating the dementors.  All great stuff.

We then managed to take some time and look around the village and shops.  Emma purchased her own wand - Hermione Granger's one and we got postcards stamped.  There is the train at platform 9 3/4 and Zonko's joke shop and Honeydukes sweet shop.

Afterwards we toured Suess Landing and Emma went on the Cat in the Hat ride - which wasn't 'too dark' this time round.  Also got wet on One Fish Two Fish and took a trip on the railway.  And, of course, the morning wouldn't have been complete without a couple of turns on the Spiderman ride.

Weather again was very very hot (around 95 - 100)  and we couldn't wait to get back to the pool and cool off.  Dinner at Perkins (famous for its pastries, cakes and homestyle cooking) and then a quick trip to the outlet mall finished our day.
