We had been trying to get away for a few days but kept getting held up by workers on a new development property we have recently purchased. Our first choice was not North Wales but as we wanted somewhere en route to friends in Bridgnorth Shropshire and our daughter's home in Coventry, we decided to settle for this destination. We chose Presthaven Sands Holiday Centre because of the price and because we had spent loads of happy holidays there when our children were young. They do say you should never go back and boy are they right but more of that later. Shortly before setting off we visited our two grandsons Matthew and Tom as it was Tom's first birthday. Thought you might like to see some photos of them. They live in Much Hoole near Preston so it wasn't very much out of our way.
