I left home at 6:45 this morning and arrived in Austin at around 11:20 and pulled off the Airport Blvd. exit and headed over to Greg's on Ave. G. It had rained 3 inches overnight and I was kind of tired from being under the weather so I didn't go riding. We went to Robert Guzman's opening at the International Center of Austin on 2nd St. and ended up staying a good while talking to his family and friends. There were four large paintings that were viewed through 3-D glasses.
Afterwards we went to Artz Rib House on South Lamar and saw Sarah Elizabeth Campbell and the Banned. Slaid Cleaves was drinking at the bar. Apparently his drinking days are not over. I guess it's just a song.
My congestion came back so we stopped at Walgreen's on the way home and picked up some patent medicine. As we walked into the store we could hear Steely Dan's 'My Old School' playing and got to hear Jeff "Skunk" Baxter's killer guitar work as we shopped for a cold remedy.
I took a couple of pills and went to bed.
