After having breakfast with our Academy Commander and Lieutenant, Kate and I dropped Elm and Bethany off at a boat dock to catch a ferry to Port Townsend and then we headed over Highway 20 to travel across the Cascades to the East Side where my parents live. The dry side of Washington rather than the rainy side. We caught some good views along the way, and a nice time to travel in the fall with all the colors.
