Over the past five weeks I've been fortunate enough to explore one of the most beautiful countries in the world and be a part of some pretty amazing adventures.

I've travelled over 20,0000 km by plane, bus, boat, car and my own two feet.

I've crossed nine time zones, the International Date Line and the Equator.

I've seen ocean, desert, rainforest, urban sprawl and rural isolation all in the same day.

I've explored 4 World Heritage Sights and one the 7 Natural Wonders of the Modern World.

I've held koalas, fed kangaroos, photographed goannas, searched for crocodiles, stared at spiders, surprised sharks, swam with giant sea turtles and tried not to destroy any coral.

I've met people from Australia, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Lichtenstein, Malta, Sri Lanka, Israel and even Saskatchewan.

I've been sunburnt, wind burnt and rained upon.

I've felt the Sourthern sun on my skin, the ocean wind in my hair and the finest sand in between my toes.

As sad as I was to leave this amazing country, I cannot say I was sad to be going home. I loved my entire time in Australia and am thankful I had the many unforgettable experiences I did. But Canada will always be my home and I anticipate the day of my homecoming as much as the day I embarked on the adventure.
