I took the high speed train from Madrid to Barcelona. I then had to take a train to Limoges then to Brive. Unfortunately the train which goes through Limoges ends up in Paris so it was well booked before I got to Barcelona. I ended up having to use my Red Light District money on booking a 2-person room on the train. It was very comfortable and if you are traveling on one of the high speed lines it is the best way to travel but I now had to skip my planned trip to the Red Light District in Amsterdam.

Thankfully my French was good enough since the station in Limoges had only one attendant at the early hour I arrived there and he did not speak English. Unfortunately upon getting to Brive I found the entire town shut down since it was Sunday. The places I wished to visit near Montignac were open yet I could get no transportation from Brive to Montignac. So I rode my Dahon folding bike around Brive instead and headed out to Bayeux in the evening.
