Well, we just returned back from Hilo, on the Big Island (or the island known as Hawaii), and what a day we had. I first off have to say that Hilo is now my new favorite airport, rivaling Calgary's airport (My Old Favorite) by very far. The airport is actually almost all open air, and you are actually checking in outside as well as your boarding area is outside, in a covered hallway which is really cool. The airport is actually decorated quite nicely as well with many different plants.
The city of Hilo and the Big Island are extremely lush and covered in RainForest. Our main purpous for the trip was to look at property just outside of Hilo, and I think we are planning on buying 2 separate properties there in an area called Puna which is actually the size of Oahu. In the afternoon we checked out a bunch of different waterfalls and parks around Hilo, and did some hiking through the rainforest there. We then just returned to Honolulu, and I am extremely tired after the long day. The Big Island is home to Kilauea, Hawaiis active volcano, as well as Mauna Kea, the world's highest mountain from its top, to the base on the ocean floor. I really enjoyed venturing over to the Big Island and it was well worth it!!! God Bless and Aloha!!!

Where (which subdivision) in Puna were you thinking of buying your lots?I have lived in Puna for several years and might be able to give you some insights about the different neighborhoods in this district, which can vary alot.
