The next day, I wake up with a killer eye infection...I mean my eye is pure red
! I get some medicine from the pharmacist, but the weather is crap, consistently raining, and later we find Jonathan and his friend, Amitas, and then we all have lunch and just relax because the weather isnt cooperating with us.
A few days later the girls have to leave to catch their flight; Bangkok and Jonathan and Amitas wil stay here an extra day; and I will go to Ko Tao and enjoy the diving I missed last time there. Thats the only sad thing about traveling - you meet these great people and become close with them and then you go your separate ways and you never know if you'll ever see them again. I'll miss Kat and Cleo and we really had fun together, but Cleo is ready to go home though later she'll admit to me that she missed it and wished she could've stayed longer, and Katleen doesn't want to go at all and I think she'll end up traveling quite a lot in her lifetime...maybe we'll meet again and maybe not!
Whew! Overnight train to Bangkok on Thursday night and then an overnight bus to the ferry town on Friday night and then 5 hour boat ride to Ko Phangan on Saturday morning! Jonathans friend got stuck at the airport so we will just meet here later tomorrow. I was walking to my guest house when Kat and Cleo hop out of a restaurant like two little bunnies. I say I'll meet them in a few minutes after I drop off my bags, but my guesthouse is full, so I go back downhill and we decide that I'll crash with them tonight as the island is filling up very quickly. We caught up during lunch and over dinner at one of thos great lounging restaurants. Afterwards we just chilled on the beach and as this evening is a Buddhist holiday the party is at a bare minimum, no clubs will open until 1 am. At 1 we went to a club and danced and drank and had loads of fun.
