After VV, we head to the capital of Laos, Vientienne, and hang for one day, but it wasn't so interesting and then all head off for Bangkok. Justin will stay there and arrange a visa for India and I decide to go with Jonathan down to Ko Phangan for another full moon party, and since Kat and Cleo are gonna be there it should be fun. Also, I wasn't able to go diving on nearby Ko Tao last time so I wanted to do that as well. We decide to take the overnight train from Nong Khai (NK and Vientienne are only separated by a river) in Thailand so we have a few hours to kill. We read about this surrealistic and strange sculpture park and decide to go visit it. We didn't spend much time in NK, but these sculptures were crazy and really cool, so I wanted to share photos of them. The place is actually a sculpture garden with a mini-lake, flowers, trees, and about 50 massive concrete sculptures. The sculptures are wild, being mostly of Hindu and Buddhist mixtures and we're pretty sure the Lao artist did some major psychotropic drugs during all this. There are crazed dogs and monkey warriors and elephant gods and snakes everywhere...see for yourself.
