Not just the home of tiny sausages, Vienna is actually like something out of a storybook...so clean and with rich architectural designs everywhere, it doesnt seem to be a real place...until you get the bill because its definitely the most expensive place I've been so far! Seriously, like St. Peteresburg, Vienna is like walking through a living museum - every building has intricate designs and sculpting, there are radiant marble statues all over, and that doesnt even bring into account the several dozen museums available here. It's decadence to the extreme here in Vienna!

First I went and checked out Schloss Schonbrunn, the old ruling Hapsburgs 1400-odd room palace with massive, immaculate, and manicured gardens...so similar to Petergof that I wonder which came first because they it seems like one is definitely a copy of the other (see picture comparison). It's a beautiful place and you could easliy stroll around for several hours. Later I hooked up with Kenny and we explored Viennas downtown area around St. Stephens, the 13th century gothic cathedral in the dead-center of town. Then we walked around the Hofburg Palace and Gardens and through the famous Museums Quarter, but mostly we just looked about and that was about it for this day. That night we bumped into Tyler in the bar and then I saw a few girls I had met in Lithuania and we all went out, to the completely wrong area - stupid mislabeled Lonely Planet guidebook! Again, nothing special, just a few drinks, a few laughs, and an early evening.
