We start the evening around 630 by taking the city tram (kinda like a San Fran streetcar) back to the Soho area and eat at a cheap, but quality noodle joint and then pop over to Kwai Fong Lu, the bar district in HK. Where HK can get expensive is dining and drinkig so we get there early enough to enjoy some 2 for 1 happy hours specials and spend the next 2.5 hours in an English pub drinking jugs of beer and talking and telling stories and having fun. Andy is a teacher from Manchester, big MU fan, and full of little kid energy (think like me but bouncing around even more) and Kate is really nice and she's just, ya know, cool. Anyway, they're a really geat couple, lots of fun and interesting to hang out with. Now, I still was feeling a bit off from the FP, but the beer really seemed to settle my stomach once and for all and I felt pretty good by the time we left. We decided to move bars, with Andy literally hopping from bar to bar investigating the prices and looking for some Euro beer called Stella, which is apparently a 5% Belgian beer. We found some at an outdoor bar and just chilled for a bit, played a peanut shell prank on Andy and then moved on again to a KTV (karoake) bar where there were some really drunk and slobbering foreigners blasting and whaling out mostly Ameican tunes. After pushing out the regulars, Andy gets up and sings Oasis Wonderwall, whihch every Brit I've every been to karoake always sings, and have a good time before Andy gets overloaded and we have to struggle to bring him back to the hostel, but it was all just good fun. So, really, it was just a fun night out with some new friends and I'll definitely try to see them again in the fall when I go through England!
