Where I stayed
We met a Canadian couple in the bar and they gave us a student ID for a Krause Reed, someone had gave it to them to get discount at Iguassu so they wanted to pass it on.
After a good nights sleep Krause and I got the bus through the Brazilian border to see Iguassu Falls from the Brazilian side (better panoramic views than Argentinian side) at the border we had to get off the bus to get passport stamped, we were told the bus driver would either drive off or wait for us....he drove off, no surprise there then! we only waited 20 mins for another bus, we of course got the wrong one so it took us the long way round. After 45 min journey (which should have been 20 mins) we eventually got to the Park and of course the lady at the desk did not accept the card so we paid full price and went up to the falls.
I was blown away by the size of them, the sheer scale of the place is incredible, every corner we turned we were greeted with colorful butterflies everywhere and Coatamundes sniffing around looking for food. Such a massive Park we could have spent a lot More time there.
On the night we stayed in the hostel to watch salsa dancers who were brilliant amazing bodies until the Australian bloke next to me told a me to take a close look as they were men in drag, he even went as far as to show me zoomed in photos he had taken...stubble n all!
Then of course the inevitable happened, yes that's right I got dragged up to salsa dance in front of everyone much to Justin's hilarity, and about 30 photos 3 videos later I was allowed to sit back down.
Monday today and we went back to Iguassu Falls to see them from the Argentinian side, it is true to say we kept the best till last. Brazil have the best of the panoramic views however Argentina get you up right next to them we were both blown away by what we saw, we were right at the top of the devils throat the largest of them all! we had gone from a calm river to a gigantic waterfall pushing water in every direction. It did rain all day but that wasn't enough to put us off. I really cant explain how great this place is. Soaked wet through we headed back for a cup of hot chocolate...real treat!
