From Hyderabad I took an immediate bus south on the way to Hampi. It only went as far as Bellary and that was where I had to spend the night. Next morning got another bus to Hospet and from there to Hampi and finally arrived. It lies beautifully between palm trees and big boulders of rock along a river. If this is not reason enough to go here that the beautiful temples may be.

Hampi is a very relaxed town and you can see it immediately when looking at other foreigners. Everybody is chilled out and enjoys the weather and especially the drugs. Officially no alcohol and other things allowed here but there are always solutions. You can get anything here from hash, opium, mushroom tea, and BANG lassi. The BANG lassi I tried with some other people and it was quite trippy and a new experience to me. More concentrated on music and sounds, your breath, your touch, lights etc.. This stuff kept me going for about 4 to 5 hours!

For the rest did some sightseeing by bike and went for a 1,5 hour massage…..amazing!

Practical stuff

-          I stayed on the bus station side of the river but apparently accommodation is cheaper on the other side and it is even possible to get something for 100 rupees! Just have a look and make up your mind.

-          For all your needs and requirements you go to Ravi's guesthouse and he can sort you out.
