On the last day in Amritsar I met 2 Dutch guys who were going the same way as me. In the bus to McLeod Ganj the group was completed with 2 South African girls and on the way we got to know eachother.

McLeod Ganj is the home of the Dalai Lama and lies beautifully in the mountains. You can see a lot of monks here in this ski-town because that's how it looks and feels like. In the few days we stayed here we went around a bit and did some hiking to a school and some small villages in the mountain. Ofcourse we also had to visit the Tsuglagkhang temple where all the monks and pilgrims go. The Tibetan food we tried was amazing except Tibetan tea which is salt and tastes more like soup than tea.

The final night we watched a movie together in one bed because it is COLD here. We had fun and the next day our ways split. Me and Aron went to Manali, Alexander stayed another day, and Jacqui and Natasha took the night bus to Delhi and the sun. We had a great time together!

Practical stuff

-          In the low season you can get a room for 250 rupees so look around a bit
