I stayed one night in Awassa on my way to Addis but because of the restricted time limit the Ethiopian immigration gave me I have to make choices where to go and what to skip. In Addis I stayed at the Holland House owned by Wim who is already in Ethiopia for 22 years. A nice place and good to speak your mother tongue after more than a month.

Via my friend Biruk I got the number of Neja and he and his friends took me out for a night out. We visited a cultural dancing restaurant called Yod Abisinia which was a great sight. Beer was 3 times as expensive than all the other places I have been before but for once that is not an issue. Had a nice evening and seen something of the Addis nightlife which was not that much spectacular.

Next day walked around in Addis with Jan who I met at the Holland House. Then on Monday my most important task to arrange my Indian visa was on the program. 4 hours after stepping in I arranged it luckily.

What I have seen from Addis is that it is a quit but messy town with not a lot of interesting things. Ofcourse there are museums and a market but it's not my town. The Holland house howeveris recommended.

Practical stuff

-          Stay at Wims Holland house close to the train station in Lagahar. He is moving soon to another place so don’t wait too long!
