. Paul, the guy on my back, let me fly the parachute for some time which was quite straightforward and fun. Afterwards he took over and increased the speed so we went down in a crazy swirl before we landed on the ground.
What an experience and although it will cost you 230 euros an unforgettable cool (not once a) life experience! Eventually I heard I did quite well although I didn’t keep my head backwards which was the reason I made some salto’s and strange flips in the beginning from which I thought it was part of the experience hahaha….
We celebrated this amazing feeling with quite some beers which was included in the price. And ofcourse I have a cool video of the jump which you definitely have to check out!
The Adrenaline heart of Namibia they call it, this day I found out why. We went to Ground Rush Adventures, paid for the jump and off we go! About 10 km's out of town we came to a small airstrip where we did the preparation and then Suuvi and me went into the plain with our tandem dive guys. An exciting flight in a very small plane for 15 minutes until we got the starting sign. Suuvi went first because she was filmed by another cameraman. At 10.000 feet (3 km) altitude it was time to jump… …5…..4…..3….2…..1…….WHWOOOEOEOEOEOEOAAAAAWWWWW….Before I recognized that she just jumped out of a plane it was my turn. Feet outside the plane, head backwards….smile in the camera and GO GO…….there you go down with 250 km/h full of adrenaline and getting more air in your mouth then you ever had before. After about 30 seconds you will get hit BAM by the parachute which is released and your speed becomes normal. There you are, more than a kilometer up in the sky and flying as a bird, enjoying the landscape and the experience
