Leaving 'my' Zambia after being there for 7 months and off to a new country, Namibia. Starting with the longest bus ride I even had, starting 6 in the morning and arriving 8 in the morning the next day (26 hours). Although it was long it was comfortable with the Intercape bus. First things which differ from Zambia are the flawless straight roads and the fact that there is no garbage on the streets. Very interesting buildings with various German names and build like German architecture.

Checked in at Cardboard Box Backpackers and the first goal of today was to arrange people to go around and rent a car. This works via a ‘post-it’ system where you put your request on the board and hopefully a team will be formed. The whole day I used to gain information about the possible activities in Namibia. Eventually I came in contact with Laurens who was also Dutch and had the same adventurous spirit as I do. I decided to meet him in Swakopmund the next day to go for Sand boarding and to structure our Namibian trip.

Practical stuff

- If you are searching for people and a car go to one of the backpack places and put up a note on the board. In this way you can find people and they can find you.
