Got up early for a big traveling day into Mozambique. Got on a Matola (pick up truck) with loads of people and even a whole cow separated in 5 pieces was transported on the truck. I had to lift up my bag because the blood was flooding throughout the place, haha.. Got on the truck at 7.45, reached the Mantimba Mozambique border post at 10.00 and because I already had a visa it only took me a couple of minutes. I asked the guy how much a Visa was if I would buy it now
and he told me $90. So I saved 50 bucks by getting it earlier, a good decision! For hours I crossed the sandy roads in Mozambique and got the first taste of the country. Suddenly the driver braked too hard and the busalmost flipped over. We got stuck and after some pushing we could be going again. I didn't had any Mozambique money (metical) so I told the driver that I would get some from the ATM in Cuamba and pay him then.

In Cuamba went looking for a place to sleep and apparently there was nothing below $25 a night! I kept looking and because of my outstanding Portuguese skills I managed to find a normal price at
Pensao Namuli. Met with 2 girls from Romania and Latvia and tasted the local beers together in some bars. Next day looked around, did some internetting and found out how I could get to Gurue the next day.

When returning from Gur˙Ŕ I had an extra day in Cuamba to chill before getting to the east side of Mozambique. On this day I bought a train ticket, let a guy in the street fix my shoes and watched a movie.
