After a few hours sleep and a big night at Glaciers and La Liga we were picked up at 7 am by our Safari guide. It was a 3,5 hour drive to Lake Manyara so there was some time to lay back for a while before spotting some game.

During the day we saw lots of animals like elephants, hippo's, baboons, other monkeys, gazelles, impala's, dik dik's (small gazelles), wardhogs (Pumba's), zebra's, wildebeests, giraffes etc... The weather and the scenery was also great so we enjoyed ourselves a lot. In the evening we went to a place called Haven Nature which was a very cool place. Had a good meal and some chats at a camp fire with our guide and three Canadian people who also did some volunteering here.

The next day up for the walking safari but unfortunately there was no ranger available which had to assist us for the walk, bummer..... So instead of that we went to the Hotsprings (80 degrees celcius hot water which floods out of the earths crust). Sounds cool but was not really worthwhile the visit.

A visit to a Masai village was more interesting and we learned a lot of new stuff about this interesting tribe of Nomads. Soon there will be a blog about this! We stayed in their house which is very small and in which they also hold their little goats and cows.. On our way back to Moshi westopped to have lunch and witnessed the slaughter of a chicken LIVE.. I had not seen that before and it was quite strange that they just did this with a knife on the side of the road..

The weekend was great and once we were back we tried to get a glimp of Ajax – Twente and heard the wonderful news :)
