The first order of business was getting that visa from the Congo embassy.  We don't have pictures of this event because the embassy was not very exciting, just a tiny office in a large office building, and we think we saw a sign saying "No Photographs".  But we did snap a few on our walk to the embassy.  We dropped off the paperwork and while it was being processed, we visited the National Geographic Museum around the corner which had cool exhibits about the race to the South Pole in the early 1900's and the ancient Etruscans in Italy.

Afterward, we picked up the visa and headed back to the shuttle bus stop for the ride back to the campground.  It was a very hot day, over 100F...whew!
