What a beautiful drive through the southern parts of South Dakota, Minnesota, and into Wisconsin! Rolling hills of yellow wild flowers in South Dakota. European-style farmhouses and those giant wind turbines everywhere along I-90 through Minnesota. And the giant bluffs along the flood-swollen Mississippi River as we entered Wisconsin were magnificent. The river is so high that the entire area looked more like the delta at the other end.

We stopped for lunch at the Lewis and Clark visitors center overlooking the Missouri River in Chamberlin, South Dakota. They had some really nice exhibits and the view was great.

And it was back to listening to World Cup action on XM radio. The exciting Germany-Algeria match took us half-way across Minnesota! We'll be able to watch the last two Round of Sixteen matches, including the Americans, when we get to our campsite tomorrow. Haven't SEEN a match yet!

Tonight, we'll stay at a Walmart campground near La Crosse and restock the fridge, then it's on to our KOA in Hancock for several days of R&R.
