Where I stayed
The Wandering Moose Ranch
The biggest city we went through was Lethbridge, Alberta, where we had to drive around a huge canyon that was right in the middle of town. Then we finally saw the Canadian Rockies looming on the horizon and began our drive through them at Crows Nest Pass.
Here we also saw the remains of the famous land slide of 1903 known as the Frank Slide, where one side of Turtle Mountain collapsed at 4 o'clock in the morning burying the small mining town of Frank, Alberta.
It was very strange to see a highway go right through acres of huge broken up boulders
It took a little while longer getting through US Customs than we had experienced earlier in the week getting into Canada. The border officials asked for our passports and walked through the RV.
It was about 6pm Mountain time, when we made it to Dad's ranch, 23 miles east of Libby, Montana. After hugs and hellos, we hopped in his car and took him to Father's Day dinner at the MK Steakhouse, about 15 minutes back down the highway.
Here is where we will stay for the next two weeks...
