Georgia on my mind! No. NOT Georgia USA but Georgia boardering the Black Sea with it's rich heritage in time, history and destiny. Beautiful of course. Historically and Biblical as well. Home to a friendly people, and most likely the best wine in the world. The vine gVINO from the Georgian language was said to be first cultivated in Georgia and from there the vine found it's way to Armenia, Israel, Italy, France and beyond. No question about it as to the quality and fresh complexity the wine rivals most all others anywhere. Georgia is a country of contrasts from it's Christian beliefs, medieval churches, Castles, and a growing awareness Georgia sits squarely in the centre of east meets west with a bevy of cultural and ethnic components. Everyone can agree Georgians food is fabulous. New hotels are being built in the main centres (4 & 5 Star) with Guest Houses developing around the country. At the moment traveling around does not afford much in the way of accommodation outside the main cities however a rush to meet the demand is underway. Georgia has put Tourism on their front burner and this is great for travelers wanting to discover up close this ancient country and their fabulously friendly people.
