The ferry from Corfu Island to Patras, Greece left at 11:30 p.m. so we took a cabin on the ferry to have a good night sleep and be rested when we arrived into Patras at 6:00 the next morning.

Since we had been to Greece in 2008 and saw many of the historical sites such as Olympia, Delphi, Corinth, Athens, Nafplion, Epidavoros, Santorini, and many other places & islands - we thought a nice family visit with my sister would be relaxing and enjoyable.

While in Patras we enjoyed a traditional family lunch wth Kathy's sister & brother-in-law.  We walked the Rio bridge over to Nafpaktos for lunch and enjoyed visits with family & friends. I joined Kathy and nine of her girlfriends for an evening out and birthday celebration.   Kathy's sister-in-law Kseni gave me a cooking lesson on how to make a traditional Greek dessert.  Kathy and I went to the Patras museum and the three of us walked down to take part in the local Saturday morning farmers market.

We enjoyed a lovely visit, caught up on our sleep, laundry and enjoyed being part of Greek everyday activities.
