Today, is our last day in Nova Scotia so we had a leisurely drive from Mahone Bay to Peggy's Cove. First we stopped in at Chester where again we strolled looking at sailboats, fishing vessels, and shops. After Chester we just followed the coastline in and out of bays and coves, passing lovely beaches along the way until we reached Peggy's Cove.
Peggy's Cove has to be the most rugged and wind swept landscape we've experienced on our entire trip of Nova Scotia. In it's own way it was beautiful yet lonely, treacherous and begged respect.
Amazingly we arrived in bright sunshine, managed to take our pictures of the most photographed place in Canada. After climbing over Peggy Coves rocks we stopped into buy a few postcards. Within 5 minutes of making our purchase Peggy's Cove was shrouded in heavy fog and you could not see the lighthouse any more. Our lucky penny must still be working for us!
