We made it to Digby last night and stayed at a B&B that's been in the family since 1929.

We enjoyed the world famous Digby scallops for supper and strolled the wharfs for our evening walk.

The next day brought plenty of sunshine for us so we toured up to Bear River & Smith's Cove which is just north of Digby.  Very pretty and quaint area with little shops to browse through.

We then headed down the Digby Neck with plans to take the ferries to Long Island and Brier Island.  Unfortunatley the fog was so thick by the time we reached the ferry for Long Island it didn't make much sense to tour something we couldn't see.

We continued our drive along the Evangeline Trail into Nova Scotia's Yarmouth & Acadian Shores District stopping to check out the sites highlighted in the guide books such as a water turbine sawmill, the largest wooden church in North America, Ship Building Yards and more.
