Caught a train to the Barcelona hills this morning to venture up to Tibidabo, which is an amusement park as well as a good look-out over the city. Was a cloudy day, so the look-out wasn't so great, but gave me the opportunity to explore a little bit out of the city centre.

Then headed down to the beach. Took a while to get there, but was the first time i had seen the coast since i had begun my trip - all the other cities have been inland. Dipped my toe in the Mediterranean Sea and sat on the beach and had some lunch. Not the best of beach days, but was good to have something different. The sand is nothing on Perth beaches tho; very gritty.

A lot of development happened around this Port area leading up to the Olympics. Walking around the streets tho, it feels a little 3rd world in some places...lots of degraded unit complexes, stray cats, and poor people begging for money. A lot of the shops close in the afternoon for siesta, which is weird for me. Also, all the TV is Spanish, with dubbing for all the American shows. I part watched an old episode of 90210 that was dubbed in Spanish; then saw Friends on in a cafe with Spanish voice over. So funny to hear.

At night i was keen to head out for a Saturday night drink. Went to a bar recommended on Trip Advisor, but it wasn't all that good. Hung around for a bit.

Sietstas!
The shops close for an afternoon siesta?! Oh my god I'm falling more and more in love with this place!

Pics look awesome and make me jelly. I remember seeing Friends with Spanish voice over in America on the Mexican channel and it was the weirdest thing ever. Somehow made Ross more funny?!
