Hi from Matapalo, matapalo was super and I saw thousands of hermit crabs, twelve crabbs a diging eleven howlers howling, 10 good waves breaking, nine buterflys flying, eight Scarlet Macaws squaking, 7 song birds singing six fishermen fishing , five solar panels, 4 river crosings three fires, 2 monkys and a haron on our roof top. twelve days of Christmas Matapalo style. serfing was prety bad in pan dulce but better two beaches down in cabo matapalo. the cause of the bad waves was because ther was no swell. I surfed 2 times and had a lot of fun In Matapalo there is no electricity so every house is off the grid. Matapalo is a point and has several beaches Cabo Matapalo, backwash & Pan Dulce. itisjust across the gulf from Pavones a popular surf beach We were 50 meters from the Beach Pan dulce. There was a swiming pool that was a little small and cloudy. The derections are simpel if you our in a 4 by 4 jeap. from san jose you can take a small 6 to 12 seat plane into Puerto Jimones or you can take a bus. If you have a jeap you just drive to Jaco and take the costanera to palmar norte then go towards panama you will see a sign and a gas station you drive down to puerto jimones. you will need help to find the road to Matapalo. don't think about it if you don't have four by four low. we had some friends come with us and we were kind of squished in the house the five of them and three of us plus ours and there dog. I played so much ping pong the ping pong table that was there there. I didn't get many pictures so I'm vary sorry about it. Our dog Shasta was so glad to be home that I thought that her tail might fly off. it was fun but I am glad to be home. I have been colecting buterflys it' fun and interesting

Loved viewing your photos and blog of your trip. Looks like Dad is going to have to practice his ping-pong skills if he is going to keep up to you.
