Hi, we are still in Esteli, one more project left to do for our business. We have been here longer because daddy and mommy had Dengue Fever. It seems to me, dengue fever is the worst thing you can get in the world. It's like having finger nails behind your eyes and you've been put in an oven. Becuase mommy and daddy had it at the same time, I had to do everything by myself. Todos para mi mismo.
We went to Jalapa before Daddy got Dengue. He had it, but it had not kicked in. We went to Jalapa because our friend Walter Garcia wanted to show us Jalapa. It's where his family live and we stayed with them. There was a boy who stayed off school to go on a hike with us, and before we went on a hike just by ourselves to the hill with the cross on top. The cross was made of wood. Jalapa is near the border of Honduras and is higher up in the mountains. When we went on the big hike, we walked by a river which had rapids and more rapids and just a little way down the stream, there was a bridge and water was going over the bridge and pouring out the other side through pipes.
We met a person before we went to Jalapa called Kelli. We have been working with her and some ladies to make some paper frames for some art work which Walter has made. I played with one of her daughters in my room and outside.
I made a game of bowling using all the water bottles after mommy and daddy's dengue. At first I played 10 pins, then I made a 15 pin game of bowling. I use a soccer ball to hit the pins. I hardly ever get a strike with 15 pins. I filled the bottom of the water bottles with some water to make them heavier.
We took some more spanish lessons. I had a new teacher which was just as good, maybe even better than my first one.
We haven't been doing much this month because of mommy and daddy's dengue. They rested a lot. But they feel awesome now.
We are going to Masaya and Granada next. We are leaving on Thursday for Granada to do some work in Masaya.
We don't have enough time to go to Guatemala on our passport, so we will stay our whole time on our visa in Nicaragua. We have to go back to Costa Rica to get more time on our passports. We want to go up to Guatemala in June. We can't go now to get 90 more days on our passport because several months ago Nicaragua signed an agreement to make things easier for tourists and the people who live here to travel to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, but it means we don't get more days on our passport if we go to those countries, so have to go to a different country.
After Granada and Masaya we want to go to the beaches near San Jaun del Sur for a few days. We need to be back to our secret beach in Costa Rica by May 10th because we are going to stay there for a month.
