I had already visited Bohemiae Rosa a few times to buy things from the farm shop but I never previously had the time to stay longer than a few hours. Bohemiae Rosa is a small hotel which is part of a sustainable farm and it was the organic food which first attracted me last year.

This weekend we decided that needed a break from work and the city so booked the hotel for a night. I'd never been inside the hotel on my previous visits but I'd always liked the feel of the place so I was confident that we'd have a good stay. Although the hotel is part of the farm there is very little noise or the farm smells which you'd expect with all the animals around.

We drove down on the Saturday morning to make the most of our time there and arrived just before midday. After a quick look around the farm we headed out through the fields, wanting to get closer to nature. It was enjoyable but freezing, after all, this is the region known as Czech Siberia! Still, it was nice to be away from the city for a while.

Like the rest of the farm the rooms had been recently renovated and as well as being extremely comfortable they included facilities like flat screen TV's with cable and high speed internet. We were mostly there just to relax but it was nice to know that these things were available if needed.

If you ever visit Bohemiae Rosa then make sure you have a meal in the restaurant. It is almost all fresh from the farm and the pork that I had was excellent! We had to leave on the Sunday morning to get back to Prague but we did so feeling a lot more refreshed and relaxed than before we arrived.
