Was back on the road and Graeme had devised a nice little ticki tour that he wasn't going to tell me about, so I just drove for the rest of the day and the co-pilot told me where to go, I was happy with that as he was the one paying for and petrol at $3.28 a gallon. The first place we ended up was a in the finger lakes part of the Seneca lake district it took us just over and hour to get there we had a little look around and then for some reason Graeme wanted to drive the SUV. This was someone who did not have a drivers license and has only driven for 5 hours max in his life and he wanted to drive in the craziest strict country in the world. So I let him have his fun for 10-15 minutes in this large park, then we were back on the road. We drove right around the Seneca Lake District and then headed for Syracuse(our next stop). We arrived in Syracuse at 5pm and look up where the local Hostel was, there was only one so we drove there to check in.
When we arrived at the hostel it was a 100 year old mansion and not in the best condition in the world, but we rang the door bell and had no answer, then a very old man came to the door and asked us what we would like, I asked if there was any beds for the night and he let as in. Now this man was very old like almost as old as the mansion we were in, but he got us sheets and a towel, we didn't need a key which I thought was very strange but no matter. We dropped off our bags and went and got some dinner from the local supermarket. Came back to the hostel knock on the door and the man's wife answered the door. Cooked dinner, downloaded my photos onto my laptop and was asleep by 10pm.
