Was up at 7.30am and got ready for a day at Dorney Park, we all went to breakfast and then got back to clean up the bunk, like we everyday but today was very hard cause all the kids knew there were going to Dorney Park in less than 30 minutes. We got the bunk cleaned and then lined the kids all up and got them onto the bus, since we had the youngest kids we were always on the first bus.
We Arrived at Dorney Park at 11.00am and Chris and I had four kids for the day, being Aaron, Aidyn, Adam and Josh and man we had a blast, we did all the water rides in the park we all had lunch at one of the burger bars and then finish off the meal with some dip & dots ice cream, then went and played in the waterfall park. We meet everyone back a the front gate at 3.00pm, and all return back to camp. The kids had a really good time but I think some of us Counsellors had a little bit more fun, it was a good day and nice to get out of camp.
That night after dinner I was very privileged to be playing Basketball for Camp Green Lane against the Harlam Wizards a professional Basketball team that goes around the country playing local team and putting on a show for the public, it was a really fun game and we all had a blast even that we lost 78-42. It was good also for my kids to see someone they know playing these Pro. Basketballers even thou we got thrashed.
I had O/D that night, and thank god it was an early night for the whole camp as we all had to be in our bunks by 10.00pm with the lights out.
