Well we have been here four days and this is the first moment at a computer. I will not stay long, as this city just sucks you in to it's beauty, charm and endless choices of exploration. Museums, gardens, churches, beautiful buildings and cafes. It must be indulged in.
I highly recommend it to everyone. I promise to write more later - but just a few highlights:
Standing under the Eiffel Tower
Being on the finishing path (near the Grand Palace) of the Tour de France watching all the cyclists ride in (that was for you Bruce)
Getting caught in a thunderstorm just outside Sacre Couer
Mass at Notre Dame
Enjoying a leisurely morning in the magnificent Luxemborg Palais gardens and hearing a brass band
An amazing evening spent with a 70+ german woman (longtime Paris resident) with incredible tales of her journeys abroad, on her balcony in the heart of Paris
A visit to the Rodin museum
Taking the sightseeing bus around the city
The many adventures of the Metro
Dave's visit to the Louvre
Hot Chocolate at Angelina's (thanks to Maren's introduction)
