While Aunt Kathleen and I wondered the streets Mom and Beth were back in court. We saw: horse pulled wagons/carts full of kegs of Guiness, St. Joseph Cathedral, statues, the famous river, and all sorts of other sites. I took a picture with "The Hags with the Bags" statue and Anna Livia "The Spirit of the river Liffey" a.k.a. "The Floozi in the Jacuzzi" statue. Then we went and did "The Viking Experience in Dublin" it was kind of neat - a little bit more a family with kids experience. They put you on a "boat" to start with and you get misted with the "spray" from the ocean and you meet the vikings and get hold their swords (which, by the way, are pretty darn heavy). At the end they have a partial recreation of a viking ship to check out.
That night on our way to dinner we past by a screaming mob of teenagers who were cheering for a "famous guy" staying at the hotel they were in front of. MTV music awards are being filmed this weekend in Dublin. WE also went by this really HUGE pig with wings sculpture which turned out to be a gigantic piggy bank. It towered over us.

The next day, before we left, we toured the still functioning Dublin Castle. Mom really liked the gardens. I learned that Guiness had the harp symbol trademarked so that when the government put it on their flag they had to turn the harp around so as to not infringe on Guiness trademark/copyright.  I was cool to see the insider view of the castle.
