We went directly to Pike's Place to check out the market and have some lunch. We watched the fish being tossed back and forth in the market and admired the gorgeous (and cheap!) flower bouquets and hand-made jewelry. We even checked out the first ever Starbucks across the street. It was insanely crowded and impossible to get a nice picture of the entrance for all the people mingling outside.
From there we walked to the Space Needle to get a nice view of the city. The morning had been a bit wet but the sky was pretty clear and sunny by the afternoon so we did get a decent view from the top.
After the Needle we left Seattle and headed north, stopping in Tulalip to check out the outlet mall. It was already 7pm and the shops closed at 9:00 so we rushed through the shops and I managed to find a few good deals. Once the stores shut down we went to the casino for a buffet dinner. The food was pretty good and the beer was cheap to us Swiss residents. The casino is nice but I wanted to play some black jack and only had a few US dollars left so I headed for the virtual gaming machines and found only slots, dozens of rows of slot machines. Finally I asked an employee and they told me there were no virtual black jack games and only one half row of poker. We played a few games then headed back home for the night.
