Many of you following this blog may think that Thomas, Mecca and I are just on an extended vacation.  You look at the pretty pictures of Hawaii and all the adventures we are having and think  "what fun for them."

On my first trip to Egypt, my master teacher at that time looked at our group and asked, "how many of you think you are here for a vacation?"  We all knew better than to raise our hands.  We were there to connect with spirit and raise not only our vibrations, but the vibration of the planet as well.

Well, that is what this journey to Hawaii is all about.  We have the extreme privilege to explore the natural beauty and wonders of this island, but our real intention is to clear out all the crap within ourselves that blocks our good.  The outdated beliefs and judgments that keep us from being profoundly joy-filled, peaceful, healthy and prosperous.

Which brings me to the main subject of this blog.  Money!  Do you feel financially free?  Do you feel prosperous?  What is prosperity to you?  Is it a certain amount in your bank account or wallet?  Is it a feeling that you can buy what you want when you want? Is it having a high paying job (or any job at all?)  I ask these questions because this is what's on my mind lately and I know I'm not the only one pondering this.

I have never experienced true financial freedom.  I have received large sums of money several times, but I didn't feel free because I was afraid I would eventually run out (which I eventually did).  I have had several well-paying jobs, but I still didn't feel free because most of the time I was so over extended that I was living paycheck to paycheck; or I felt bound to a job that was no longer right for me but I needed the money.  So I'm thinking there's got to be a better, different way.

Financial freedom to me would be knowing that I generate my prosperity.  That my peace of mind is not tied to a job, a checking or savings account, investments or a trust fund.  What do I mean by this?  Well, my objective is to be peaceful with $100 in the bank or $100,000.  To know that I am provided for without knowing where the money will come from.   Sometimes it will come from usual channels like a job or project, but also be available for unusual sources. Silly us!   We've come to one of the most expensive places in the world to work out our money stuff!  But haven't you noticed, you follow you wherever you go? :)

I challenge you to look at your thoughts about money and prosperity and share them.  You can leave your comment here or email me.  But I think it's time to start talking about this and break down the financial limitation chains that many of us feel bound to.  We have just entered a new cycle with the recent solar eclipse.  I'm ready to  create new paradigms for living outrageously prosperous.  What about you?

Thought provoking question. Prosperity for me would mean that i'm able to provide for my needs, save for retirement, and establish a fund for my children. I would really like to be able to help my children when they are adults and need a down payment for a home.

Money and prosperity are two different concepts. There are three negative conceptions of money that I can think of that play out in famous sayings. First, money is the root of all evil. Second, money can't buy you love or happiness. And the more recent, mo money, mo problems. In general, you either have enough money to take care of what you need or you don't. And if you have enough money to take care of what you want at any time, some would call you rich. That still does not mean you have prosperity. Your life could be in turmoil even if you have a lot of money. And your life could be going fine with the appreciation that you have enough money to continually meet your needs and because of that, you prosper. That's my long response to your question. I hope you find some value in it.

Well we certainly know all too recently that money can't buy you peace of mind or happiness, a la Junior Seau and apparently u can't take it with you, Steve Jobs...it does however come in handy when these lil envelopes show up in the mail box daily (lil demands for money)...mortgage, water, electricity, etc....I can say that since we've taken Dave Ramsey we do seem to be really clicking and have more financial freedom & direction in money matters! His envelope system is genius:)

Wealth for me is knowing that I am Pure Spirit co creating with Spirit. This a.m. I realised it was my guilt for believing I had messed up so many lifes, my own and others that was stopping me from living this life full on. I was giving only enough to get by. Coasting during good times and kicking it in gear when my back was against the wall. Being this way I would never expeirance adundance. So I give forth the guilt and vow to give life full on! Wealth for me a state of being. Mahalo

I was about to add my comments about this post on 5/26 and chose, instead, to wait for a while. In looking at the term "money", I can see all of the wonderful gifts that surround me now, at this moment in my life... Abundance, health, wealth, and prosperity. Yes, the access to each of these gifts are cyclical, as is life. And, apparently, I wouldn't have it any other way because that's the way it keeps showing up. I now am in the process of "being peaceful" with what I have or do not have. Since we are in choice at all times, in everything we do. More directly... I AM at peace with the issue of money, knowing that change is definitely right around the corner.

Yes, I do like and prefer to have nice things and abundance all around me. Such as I already have and always had. Including wonderful people and relationships.

Because that is just what's so!
