Yesterday was the magnificent annular solar eclipse.  From Hawaii, the moon only covered the right side of the sun but it was still very beautiful.  We went over to Ala Moana beach to enjoy the event and soak in the healing sea water.  I think we were the only ones interested in the eclipse since I didn't see anyone else looking up into the sky.

We've been exploring Kailua more...we found a very cool bike path that runs through wetlands, and on Mother's Day we went up to a heiau (a sacred site) to meditate and connect with nature.  I'm feeling contemplative and quiet after my health scare last week.

Beautiful pictures. I had forgotten our blessings for a moment. Your pictures reminded me of the natural beauty around us. What a joy to be here, in Hawaii with my beautiful and awesome wife and amazing daughter. I am blessed.

Wow! Beautiful, O'ahu amazes me every single day. Yesterday we visited a new place that blew my mind, have you been to the very Westernmost point? Makaha, up to the Ka'ena State Park? Incredible. Feels like another world right here on this precious little island! Thanks for sharing your special Mother's Day. You are an incredible Mama, Meccas a lucky girl :) and visa versa of course!
