Today we set about Hong Kong with a vengeance. First stop The Peak. We caught a bus from Central which wound its way up through the narrow roads above the harbour until it arrived at the Peak Gallery. If you go up this way get an upstairs seat. There is a shopping centre here along with The Peak Tower where there is a viewing gallery overlooking the harbour. Unfortunately it was a bit hazy but took a few photos. While we were having a coffee we had a good chat with a local couple which gave us a good insight into life in Hong Kong. We then got the Peak Tram back down to the town area. A good experience in itself.
Another must in Hong Kong is the Star Ferry. For the princely sum of ~15p we caught the ferry across from the Central Pier to Kowloon. A great way to see the harbour and all the traffic on it.
In the evening we navigated to the Temple Street market. Here you can buy almost anything, including wigs, but I resisted the temptation. After that it was off to Knutsford Terrace for a nice Tapas meal, "when in Rome"!!!
