Day 126: The ferry ride to Santorini was amazing once we were sailing past the island, we could see all of the towns sitting on the top of the cliffs and right up against the edge.  The cliffs were pretty much vertical and the roads from the ferry ports up to the towns were crazy, very steep and zig zagging all the way up.

When we got to our accommodation there wasn't enough room so me and Emma got put in an apartment house which was huge with a large lounge and kitchen and we still only paid for the basic room so we weren't complaining.  That night we had an orientation walk through the main town and then had dinner at a restaurant on the side of the cliff and watched the sunset which was amazing.  During the orientation walk we got to walk though all the small winding streets and saw all the white buildings with the blue roofs that you see on the postcards, needless to say we got plenty of photos.  After dinner me and Emma decided that we would have a quite one and also that we had our own big place, so we went back and had an easy night. The company also has a deal with one of the jewelry shops were we got at least 50% off everything so Emma bought a couple of rings.

Day 127: Today we did the 'Bucket List' of Santorini which included going to the black beach were we relaxed on the beach, had a swim and had breakfast served to us on the beach.  Then we went to the red beach, but me, Emma, Sarah and Trent (people on our tour) got off early and visited the ruins of Akrotiri which were pretty cool and showed part of a civilization that lived until the volcano of Santorini erupted.  We then walked to the red beach and had a swim.  After the beaches we went to the Santo winery were we tried a few local wines, all tasted nice but I think the ones we had on our Bordeaux tour were nicer, we did buy a couple of bottles though for our picnic that night.

So that night we went to the town of Oia which is on the other side of the island where we had a picnic on the cliff side and watched the sunset, there was also a contest to see who could get the time of the sunset, we didn't win.  Afterwards I went out with the rest of guys for some drinks and Emma stayed in.
