Day 90:  After we finished off the Catacombs and Notre Dame in Paris we finally headed to Rennes, we got here very late and when we finally got to our hotel we just crashed and went to sleep.

Day 91:  We decided that today was going to be a day of resting and doing nothing.  So we slept in until 11am, lied around in the hotel room, went out and got lunch and came back to the room to have lunch and watch some movies on the tablet and watch the Olympics on TV.  Not much at all but definitely needed it.

Day 92:  Today we went to Mont Saint Michel which is a castle dedicated to the Archangel Michael and sits in the ocean just off the coast to the north of Rennes.  We had to catch the bus which took a bit over an hour.  This castle is amazing and would recommend it to anyone as long as you don't go during the peak months because it was absolutely packed with tourists, much more then I expected, but it was still a sight to see.  It would have been even more amazing if we were there during high tide when it was surrounded with water, but since it was not we were able to walk around the back on to the sand and see a different side.  It would also have been amazing to see at night time when it was all lit up.  The castle contains the village houses (mostly tourists shops and hotels/restaurants now) at the bottom and has the church and fortress at the top, it was one of the only places that with stood the invasion of the British during the Hundred Years War and has become a symbol of strength for the French people.  As this was all that we had planned we headed back to the hostel and updated our travel blogs and diaries, now only to catch up on washing which we hope to do at our next stop.  Starting to stink a little :)
