After that much needed sleep we awoke to some beautiful blue skies and took the bus down to Coogee (Coo-Jee) for the Beach Walk. 6 kilometers from Coogee to Bondi along some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Beaches and more beaches, cliffs, palms, a stunning old cemetery and crashing winter waves.  I keep finding that it is very difficult to keep left when walking on sidewalks and pathways... a few times on this walk I kept walking into people because we keep right and they keep left. It feels really unnatural to stay on the proper side- I'll be driving here next month so I hope it starts to feel normal!! So we walked for a few hours, stopping in the cememtery for a picnic lunch and then got drenched in a downpour about halfway there. Umbrellas out, we continued on to Bondi where we stopped for a hot chocolate.
We caught a bus back down to the harbour and watched a light show project onto the Opera House and a pyrotechnics show over the water. We had a late dinner at Peasants Fare in Newtown, an organic restaraunt in Cian's neighbourhood- which reminds me a bit of Main or Commercial in Vancouver. Colleen and I got the Vegetarian platter for 2 which helped me to feel better about the Disneyland Meat Bucket. It was absolutely delicious and we were stuffed and exhausted on our walk home. Again another busy day and a restful sleep on my couch :)
