Dobry den from Prague! Getting here was a series of three trains with five minutes or less to connect. We experienced a few challenges with seats and assigned trains. Now we understand that there is a set train number and seat number after a mishap with a train full of Germans that did not speak English! Our few words of German did not get us very far!

We also learned very quickly that traveling by backpack is more difficult than expected. The bags get heavy quicklY! Sorry for any keystroke errors, all keyboards over here are exceptionally different!

All the travel confusion was worth while when we arrived in Prague to be greeted by the women we found on the internet named Alena Pesolva. She was great.

Prague is a very beautiful city! The architecture is really impressive. We are planning on going to two museums today. If all goes well with this entry we will soon try to book a hotel in Poland-our next stop.

Food here is meaty, note from Michelle, but getting by fine. Yesterday I had Borsch soup and salad, were both rather good. Beer here is cheap, less than soda pop and waterĘ! Mike likes this benefit!! Monetary system here is the Czech kourny = about 15 CZK to 1 US dollar. Although we hoped to see some value here prices are about the same as they are in the States. Scary how much our dollar value has decreased!

Jim Tottis, please let Iva know that I, Mike, actually went to church this morning-all in Czech. I did not understand much.

Until next time, all the best from Mike and Michelle

PS we are having problems with the picture upload here. We will try again soon!
