JFK Airport New York
Well we left our little place in paradise and moved along. Twenty-three nights in the same hotel in Coco, no packing and unpacking, a good room at a fair price – nice. Costa Rica was interesting and restful, Richard read many books and Donna worked on the computer and read a few books, but it was time. We were restless. Grandkids and kids are waiting and so is Christmas. But first, we have a job to do. Las Vegas. We just have to! That's the way our air tickets go. That’s where we’re meeting Jan and John for four days.
We took the bus from Coco Beach to the airport turn-off and walked the rest of the way - probably about a mile. The bus cost about $1.05 per person and/or the front desk at the hotel would arrange a taxi for $40. No contest. Fortunately the sky was overcast and there was a bit of a breeze so we did not melt too badly during the walk – and the Tilleys were out in full force.
We flew Jet Blue from Liberia to New York, JFK and spent the night in terminal 5. This is a dedicated Jet Blue terminal, new, clean, organized, non-threatening, Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (delicious) and even has free wifi. We didn’t get much sleep but will make up for it during the almost six hour flight to Las Vegas. We are excited about going to Sin City again and have been trying to wrap our minds around the cold weather and forget that we never wore anything but shorts and sandals since we don’t remember when. Yes, it’s cold in Vegas.
P.S. The mileage counter on this website says we have traveled 28,633 kilometers since the start of the trip - reasonably accurate but not perfect.
