Where I stayed
Some Cool Resort
I wish I had a few days here just to hang out and chill because the atmosphere was just so perfect for relaxation. The mountain in the back, the lake on the bottom, and the huts all around the place just beckoning to be used. Someday!!!
We set out on yet another decent drive out of the park and didn't see a animal worth stopping for. Except for a hippo who was out for the water. We drove a few hours and arrived in a pretty decent place overlooking a lake. I didn’t feel like setting up my tent and decided to try to upgrade. The Swiss-German guy owed my money and I decided to split a room and he would pay. We got a tent overlooking the lake but it had actual beds inside and it was on an upraised wooden platform and had a deck on it. It was actually pretty neat! Since we had a half-day or so off, we decided to go swimming and were soon joined by other people. The water was coldish but we didn’t care. It felt really good and we swam around for a bit. Then we got out and had a beer and talked for awhile. I just now noticed but I seem to click the best with the non-native English speakers on the tour. 1 Dutch, 1 Swiss-German, and 1 Danish. The Dutch and Swiss and I talked for a few hours about this and that. Then soon after our showers, it was dinner time. Dam it was good!! A few of us started to play pool and drink a bit and just enjoy ourselves. One Aussie girl in particular was starting to get a little intoxicated. A few hours into the night, she was really drunk and a totally different person which was kind of funny in a way. She was even talking about the whole night about "needing a man." For Mr. Bad man, he could of. But no one was like that and she was put to sleep soon after. It was a good night. I woke up cursing my alarm clock not because I was hungover, but because I was super tired and hate waking up before 6 am. I personally think it should be illegal to wake up that early. But not so!
