Where I stayed
I landed in Brussels today after my first experience on a European train. Apparently this is really rare but a cable broke onto the track and we were all unloaded right on the border of Belgium and the Netherlands. Trying to get a straight answer from the staff was not easy. They were telling us to take a train to the next stop, then a bus to where ever, then back on the train into Brussels. After 2 hours of wish-wash talk, a train finally appeared headed in the right direction.
So far Brussels seems like the armpit of Europe. You could easily think you are in a Middle Eastern country by how much Arabic I see and hear here. I'm not sure why that is though. I met some Korean girls who are funny as hell and we're going to check out Bruges tomorrow which is an hour away. It's supposed to be a lot nicer.
More to follow......
